School Uniform

Our school uniform is very important to us here at St Alban's CofE Primary School.  It enables us to support children in having a strong sense of identity and belonging without our school.  We expect children to wear uniform every day, in line with our uniform policy.

School Uniform List
Our school uniform colour is a combination of red and black. Most items can be bought from high street shops and it is not compulsory to wear logo uniform.  If you would like to purchase logo items, the items marked below with * are available to buy from our local providers, A-Print and Ella Bellas or online by visiting Myclothing

School ties can be purchased from A-Print or from the school office (payment via Arbor).

FS1 (Nursery), FS2 (Reception), Year 1 and Year 2

  • White or red polo shirts*
  • Black trousers, skirts, pinafores
  • Red V-necked jumpers, sweatshirts or cardigans*
  • Grey, black or red tights for girls
  • Grey, black or white socks for girls and boys
  • Black shoes or black trainers without logos (no sandals)

Summer uniform alternatives:

  • Black tailored shorts
  • Red gingham dresses

Years 3, 4, 5 and 6

  • White shirts (short sleeves or long sleeves)
  • School tie* (ties are available to buy from the school office or A-Print)
  • Black trousers, skirts, pinafores
  • Red V-necked jumpers, sweatshirts or cardigans*
  • Grey, black or red tights for girls
  • Grey, black or white socks for girls and boys
  • Black shoes or black trainers without logos (no sandals)

P.E. Kit
Children are required to come to school wearing their PE kit on the days communicated by the class teacher.  PE kit forms part of the school uniform and the following expectations apply:

  • Plain black tracksuit bottoms or plain black shorts
  • Plain black t-shirt or a plain white t-shirt
  • Plain black hoodie
  • Plimsolls or trainers – velcro fastenings are essential for younger children
  • Jogging bottoms/sweatshirt /tracksuit for outdoor lessons in cold weather

For health and safety reasons children are not permitted to wear earrings for PE. Your child’s teacher will advise you when PE lessons take place so that earrings can be removed.
